Christian ESL - Learn To Speak Positive English
Positive Christian ESL does more than teach
English. It also teaches you how to think like a positive person and
how to swim in God's ocean of love.
Positive Christian ESL has
positive self-talk from Dr. David Abbott's book, Maximum Strength Positive
Thinking. Dr. Dave reads the Christian positive self-talk
out loud, and at the same time, you follow what he is saying by reading the words in
English. Listen to Dr. Dave read a passage,
and then you read the same words to improve your English speaking skills. Practice
your English anytime you want, for as long as you want, simply by clicking
on the play button. You can replay the same passage
thousands of times. Each time you repeat the positive words, your
English improves, and you put positive Christian thoughts into your mind. You
become a more positive person as you learn to speak English.
Not all ESL courses are created equal. Most
courses only teach you how to say new words and construct new sentences.
Positive Christian ESL does much more than that. It teaches you a new
way of thinking so that you become a positive person.
How much does it cost? Absolutely
nothing. It's totally free.
You have nothing to lose and everything to
gain by learning to speak positive English.
To get started, click on the arrow and listen
to Dr. Dave as he reads each positive message. Then, read the
same passage and watch your English improve.

When I jump into God’s ocean of love, my life is never
the same. I am born spiritually and become a new person. Old things
pass away, and all things become new. I look at the world through new
eyes and listen with new ears. I think new thoughts, take new
actions, and have a new life.
God’s love changes the way I think and feel. God
gives me a clean mind and a pure heart. His love washes the toxic
waste from my mind. My old way of thinking and feeling is gone. My
mistakes and failures are cast into his ocean of love. For the first
time in my life, I dare to call God my Father and live as one of his
children. God’s love heals my damaged emotions, and my negative
feelings and guilt are washed away in a tidal wave of love.
Each day I jump into God’s ocean of love and have a
life transforming experience. Dabbling in it will never do. This
isn’t something I do just once, and the positive effects last for a
lifetime. I must do it everyday for the rest of my life. There is no
limit to how good my life can become when I open my heart and mind to
the power of God’s love. For as long as I live, I will max out on
God’s love.
Two thousand years ago, the religious
authorities brought a woman to Jesus and told him that she was caught in
the act of adultery. The punishment for adultery was death by stoning.
They asked Jesus what they should do. Jesus said, “He that is without
sin, let him cast the first stone.” Jesus was not condoning
immorality. He was simply making the point that no one is qualified to
cast a stone in self-righteousness at another person.
God is the judge of how each person lives, and He is fully qualified and
able to judge in a fair manner without my help. I don’t need to become
a religious policeman, judge, or jury. I need to love everyone who has
problems and leave the judgment up to God.
The judgment I pass on others becomes the standard by which I am
judged. If I get caught in the trap of self-righteousness, I set a high
bar over which I will have to jump. My chance of being perfect is zero,
and if I am smart, I won’t criticize other people who are not perfect.
Whatever shortcomings others have, I will send them my love and leave
the judgment up to God. The day I become perfect will be the day I have
the right to become the arm of God and cast the first stone. Until
then, I will send them God’s love.
Excellence is the path that takes me to
my dreams, unless I stop at a roadblock called perfection. I must
embrace excellence and flee perfection. Excellence pays rich dividends
and is always within my grasp. Perfection is an unreasonable taskmaster
who is impossible to satisfy. The wages of perfection are eternal
frustration; no matter what I do, or how hard I try, it’s never good
enough.
Perfection is a silver-tongued adversary pretending to be my friend
while it steals my joy. If I wait around for everything to be perfect,
I will miss out on all the good things of life. Life can be excellent,
but perfection is impossible. The formula for misery is to expect
perfection in myself, my friends, my parents, my children, my spouse, my
house, my car, my boat, and my job. Perfection doesn’t exist in any of
these areas. Perfection isn’t necessary, and it’s a luxury I can’t
afford.
I don’t worship at the altar of perfection as it only brings misery and
disappointment. I don’t need to be perfect, and neither does my life.
God loves and accepts me the way I am. God never demands perfection.
If it’s good enough for God, it’s good enough for me.
Sin is like a barometer that tells me
how my relationship with God is going. When my relationship is alive
and well, sin rarely is found. When my relationship is faltering and
sick, sin pokes up its ugly head, and I start to sink in a sea of
iniquity. But the problem isn’t the sin; it’s only a symptom. The real
problem is that my relationship with God isn’t what it should be. I am
not loving God with all my heart, mind, and strength.
If my relationship with God is right, sin will not be a major problem.
When my relationship is strong, the power of God’s love rolls through my
life and gives me the strength to be all that I can be without being
burdened by sin.
Jesus said I should love God with all my heart, all my mind, and all my
strength. When I love God with everything that’s in me, I no longer
have a problem with sin. I have taken the cure, and sin no longer
dominates my life. If I am lost in a maze of sin, the only escape is to
open my heart to God’s love. God’s love is still the most powerful
force in the universe, and it will blow the maze of sin to smithereens
when my intellect, emotions, and will are aligned with his love.
Until I understand God’s love, I will
never know what God is like. I must see myself through God’s eyes and
learn the facts of love.
God’s love never falters or fails. It will never stop pursuing me until
the day I die. No matter what I do, I cannot escape it. I can ignore
it or reject it, but it will not go away. God’s love surrounds and
envelops me. It continually reminds me that I can be one of his
children. I will either sink or swim in his ocean of love.
Romans 8:37-39 states: “In all these things we are more than conquerors
through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor
life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor
any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation
will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our
Lord.” This scripture states the facts of love in an unequivocal way. There is nothing in the entire universe that can separate me from God’s
love. God is my Father, and his love floods my heart and mind and makes
me whole. There is no limit to how good my life can become when my
heart is full of God’s love.
Jesus said the pure in heart have a
special blessing; they are able to see God.
If I am having difficulty seeing God at work in my world, it’s probably
because I am carrying a massive load of toxic waste polluting my heart
and mind. If I continue on this course, my ability to see God will
progressively diminish until I become spiritually blind. God’s presence
and power will become a distant memory.
If I want to have a pure heart, I must do two things. First, I must
open my heart to God’s love every day all day long. I must be in
continual fellowship with him so He can work non-stop in my heart and
mind. I will be healed in proportion to the time I spend with him.
Second, I must stop putting toxic waste into my mind. This isn’t
optional. If I continue to pollute my mind, the only person I will be
fooling will be myself. My life will not improve, and spiritual
blindness will be my destiny.
When I have a clean mind and a pure heart, I have twenty/twenty
spiritual vision, and I can see God at work in my world.
God speaks all the time, but the only
way to hear his voice is to become silent and listen. That is why the
Bible says, “Be still and know that I am God.”
If I can’t hear God speak, the problem isn’t God; the problem is me.
God speaks all the time, but I am not listening. Sometimes I spend such
a small amount of time listening, I may as well be deaf as far as God’s
voice is concerned.
It’s impossible to have a personal relationship with anyone unless you
talk to them and listen to what they say. In the same way, it’s
impossible to have a relationship with God unless you talk to him and
listen to what He has to say. When I stop listening, I start making bad
choices. If I never become silent and listen, I miss out on God’s plan
for my life. There is no limit to how good my life can become when I
follow God’s plan.
God’s love is eternal and unconditional; I can always count on it being
there. Nevertheless, I have a short memory and must be reminded of it
many times each day. Fellowship with God must be a daily thing. Every
day I must become silent and listen to his voice of love.
Jesus said I must be born again. Once
is not enough. The first time I was born, I was born in the flesh. The
second time I am born, I am born in the spirit. God is a Spirit, and He
is the One who makes my spirit come alive. That is why I call him
Father.
Spiritual birth isn’t something I do. Instead, it’s something that God
does to me after I open my heart to his love. God isn’t going to ask me
to write an essay to find out if I really understand what I am doing.
He isn’t going to give me a multiple choice test asking me one-hundred
questions on theology, and if I don’t score at least seventy percent, I
don’t get to call him Father. He won’t ask for a personal interview or
references from religious people. He won’t demand that I am perfect
before I can have a relationship. He won’t require that I don’t sin for
three days in a row before it can happen.
God loves me unconditionally. That means He loves me and accepts me the
way I am. He loves me from the top of my head to the tip of my toes,
and it doesn’t get any better than that. There are no preconditions to
having a relationship with God. As soon as I open my heart to his love
and call him Father, He does the rest.
The coin of love has two sides. On one
side, God sends his love to me. On the other side, I send my love back
to him through loving other people. God’s plan of love is simple. What
goes around comes around. The only way for my love to get back to God
is by passing it through the hearts of other people. The love I send to
others comes multiplied back to me.
God works in his world through the power of love, but He uses me to
spread it around. God’s arms of love are my arms. God’s voice of love
is my voice. God’s heart of love is my heart. God gives me as much
love as I am willing to pass on to others. When I send God’s love to
everyone, I become immersed in his ocean of love.
When I send God’s love to just one person, God gives me enough love for
just one. When I send God’s love to ten people, God fills my cup with
enough for all ten. When I send God’s love to a thousand, a tidal wave
sweeps over me, and I swim in his ocean of love. No one should ever die
loveless when God has an ocean of love. What goes around comes around.
There is no limit to how good my life can become when I send God’s love
to everyone.
When the Life Long Disoriented come to
me with a load of negativity and limitations, I know why they are
there. They want to clip my wings and keep my feet on the ground. When
the world pops me into its mold, I never come out as an eagle with the
ability to fly. I emerge from the mold earthbound with wings of lead.
The Bible says, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their
strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and
not be weary. They shall walk and shall not faint.”
During most of my life, I should be flying like an eagle. Nevertheless,
on some days troubles will come, and conditions will not be favorable
for soaring. On those days, I will run and not be weary. At other
times, adversity will be greater, and I will walk and will not faint.
God designed me to fly like an eagle, and soaring is my domain. If I
don’t load myself up with burdens, I can soar for my entire life. I
will not let the world clip my wings or force me into its mold. I will
fly like an eagle.
