Once there was a smart fish who taught
himself to read. Finding reading material wasn't difficult
because the oceans had become the trash bins for the world.
Millions of people loaded their rubbish on giant barges and sent it
far out to sea where they dumped it. Although this wasn't good
for the oceans, it provided the brilliant fish with a never-ending
supply of reading material.
One day the fish read an article that said all life was dependent on
water. It pointed out that many places on the planet could no
longer sustain life because of insufficient water. The highly
intelligent fish decided that if water was so important, and his
survival depended on it, he must find some water for himself. He
gave up reading and spent the rest of his days swimming in the oceans
relentlessly searching for water. Water became his holy grail.
The fish eventually died without discovering he had been swimming in
an ocean of water every day of his life.
This fish is like billions of people who swim in God's ocean of love
without realizing it's there. Although it sustains them,
supports them, and keeps them alive, they can't see it or feel it
because they never learned to focus on it.

cannot say the word Christian without also saying the word positive.
Why is that? The most positive force in the universe is God's
love, and when the positive power of God's love controls your heart
and mind, you become a truly positive person. It's impossible to
think in a negative manner when his love is in control.
The Christian message is about God's transforming love that makes us
into positive and loving people. The message is not about
positive thinking. God's love is the cause, and positive
thinking is the effect. The focus needs to be on God's love to
keep positive thinking in its proper perspective.
Jesus said, "Hereby will men know that you are my disciples because
you love one another." Love is the core of the Christian
experience, and God's love is the Source of your power. The
power and presence of God in your life is love. When you
experience God's love, you experience his presence and power.
It's just that simple. No mystery here.
1John 4:12 states, "No one has ever seen God; but if we love one
another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us."
Although we may not be able to see God, we experience him as his love
is made complete in us. He love changes the way we think and
feel. When God's work is complete, we become loving people.
We bear an unmistakable resemblance to God when his love controls our
heart and mind. We are never more like God than when we are
loving other people.
God's voice of love is your voice, and God's arms of love are your
arms. When you tell other people about God's love, his love
flows through you to them, and you experience God's presence and
power. When you demonstrate his love to other people, when you
become his arms of love and put those arms around the world, God
becomes powerfully present in your life.
God speaks his message of love millions of times each day using people
just like you and me. God isn't silent. If anyone is
silent, it's you and me. God spoke definitively once in the
past, and now it's up to us to become his voice and arms of love.
That's how we experience God's presence and power. That's how we
have a personal relationship with God based on love.

God is love and
works by love. The power and presence of God in my life is
love. Every time I see love, I see God's hand at work.

to the power of God's love. His love washes the toxic waste out
of your mind and heals

your intellect, emotions, and will all heading in the same

without God putting it there. Unconditional love isn’t in my
chromosomes. Only God can breathe it into my life.

Impossible is not found in his vocabulary, and impossibility doesn't
exist in his universe. Everything is possible when I think the way
that God thinks.
Romans 8:37-39 states: “In all these
things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I
am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,
neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor
depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us
from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” This scripture
states the facts of love in an unequivocal way. There is nothing
in the entire universe that can separate me from God’s love. God
is my Father, and his love floods my heart and mind and makes me whole.
There is no limit to how good my life can become when my heart is full
of God’s love.
God's plan for my life is simple.
He will take all my choices, mistakes, and failures, and turn them into
something good. My mistakes and failures are the launching pad for
God's master plan.
God loves me and accepts me the way I
am, but He loves me too much to let me stay that way. That is my
ultimate reason for hope. God is on my side. He wants to
fill my heart with his love, banish my limitations, and wash away the
plague of negative thoughts from my mind. God’s love carries away
my burden of guilt. His love not only wipes the slate clean, it
also throws the slate away. God has a plan for my life that is
better than anything I can imagine. There is no limit to how good
my life can become when I max out on the power of his love.
I must see myself through God’s eyes
and learn the facts of love.
God’s love never falters or fails. It will never stop pursuing me
until the day I die. No matter what I do, I cannot escape it.

favor and love. I need to think the way God thinks.
My mistakes and failures are no
surprise to God. They are the launching pad for God's master plan.
God takes all of my mistakes and failures and turns them into something
good.
