ESL - Learn To Speak Positive English
Positive Thinking ESL does more than teach English.
It also teaches you how to think like a positive person. And if you
learn the lessons well, you learn how to live as if you are great.
That's because Positive Thinking ESL has
positive self-talk from Dr. David Abbott's book, Maximum Strength Positive
Thinking. Dr. Dave reads the positive self-talk out loud, and at the
same time, you can follow what he is saying by reading the words in
English. Listen to Dr. Dave read a passage,
and then you read the same words to improve your English speaking skills. Practice
your English anytime you want, for as long as you want, simply by clicking
on the play button. You can replay the same passage
thousands of times. Each time you repeat the positive words, your
English improves and you put positive thoughts into your mind. You
become a more positive person as you learn to speak English.
Not all ESL courses are created equal. Most
courses only teach you how to say new words and construct new sentences. Positive
Thinking ESL does much more than that. It teaches you a new way of
thinking so that you become a
positive person.
How much does it cost? Absolutely
nothing. It's totally free.
You have nothing to lose and everything to
gain by learning to speak positive English.
To get started, click on the arrow and listen
to Dr. Dave as he reads each positive message. Then, read the
same passage and watch your English improve.

I change my mind in an instant of
time. At the moment of change, there is a shift in my beliefs about who
I am and what I can do.
Change always occurs in an instant. I changed my life in an instant
when I learned to ride the bicycle. There was an immediate shift in my
beliefs when I successfully rode for the first time. One moment I
didn’t believe that I could ride, and the next moment I believed that I
could.
Whatever changes I make always happen in an instant and happen first in
my mind. If I am having a hard time bringing about positive change, I
need to examine my beliefs. A key belief is preventing me from change.
If I alter that belief, I arrive at the instant where change is
possible. I will not talk myself into believing that change is
impossible. Positive change is something that I already know how to do.
The size of change is irrelevant. Whether changes are large are small,
they still happen in an instant, and they happen first in my mind.
Focus gives me powerful leverage over
my mind. When I focus on a thought, it forces my mind to look in the
direction of that thought. When I focus for a minute, I push my mind in
that direction for a minute. When I consistently focus on it for weeks
and months, my life moves in that direction. The focus of my mind
expands into my life.
I can think only one thought at a time. When I focus on one thought, I
displace all others from my mind. Focus enables me to displace unwanted
thoughts. I displace negative ones with positive ones and limiting ones
with unlimited ones.
Focus selects the programs that I run in my mind. When I select a
program using the power of focus, I take control of my mind. Since I
can run only one program at a time, when I run a positive one, the
negative ones vanish.
I use the power of focus to push my mind in the direction of my dreams.
The magic of focus is not hocus-pocus, and it’s not a trick. It’s the
real thing. Focus unlocks the door of change and makes it possible to
run positive programs in my mind.
Change finally happens when I am ready
to change. Change takes a long time, because I take so much time
getting ready. Although change occurs in an instant, getting ready for
that instant may take years.
Most of the barriers to positive change are found only in my mind.
Limiting beliefs tell me that now isn’t the right time. Conditions will
be more favorable in the future. When I am older and more mature, then
I will be ready to change. It’s easy to think of dozens of reasons why
now isn’t the right time. The only thing holding me back is my
beliefs. When I believe that I am stuck where I am, change becomes
impossible.
The truth is that change is possible anywhere and anytime. Change
happens when I am willing to change the way I think and act, and I can
do that whenever I want.
I am willing to do whatever it takes to make change happen. There is no
reason to wait for years; I can change my life today.
Positive change isn’t a matter of the
will. Rather, it’s a matter of being willing to do whatever it takes. When I am not willing, no matter how much I say I want to change, it
will not happen. I am only playing a word game, and everyone
understands what I am saying.
The difference between the will and being willing is great. Making my
dreams come true doesn’t require an iron will. I don’t need an
indomitable spirit before I start the journey. I don’t need to spend
years pumping myself up in preparation for the moment that will takes
over, sweeps me off my feet, and carries me to total victory. That is a
fairy tale of the will. No one has a mountain of will that sweeps away
all opposition.
I don’t need a massive will to succeed. I do need a willingness to do
whatever is required to make my dreams happen. Although I don’t have an
iron will, I do have a willingness to work around, go through, over, or
under whatever obstacles get in the way. This is a quiet willingness.
Eloquent speeches of dramatic resolve aren’t part of the script. I
simply get on with the business of living my dreams. Every day I focus
on my purpose and act on my plan, because I am willing to do whatever it
takes to make my dreams come true.
Change first happens in my mind, and
then it happens in my life. It’s impossible to make a positive change
without first changing the way I think.
I am the only one who can change my life, because I am the only one who
can change the way I think.
I need to change my mind about many things.
When I look at my limitations, I need to change my mind. When I look at
my failures, I need to change my mind. When I look at the past, I need
to change my mind. When I look at the present, I need to change my
mind. When I look at the future, I need to change my mind.
I can change my mind about any area of my life. It doesn’t matter if
the change is large or small. Regardless of its size or direction,
change still first happens in my mind. When I change the way I think,
it’s only a matter of time before change happens in my life.
Change happens when I think differently
than I have always thought and act differently than I have always
acted. New thoughts and actions are necessary.
What do I do when things aren’t working? Do I continue thinking the
same old thoughts and taking the same old actions? If I do that, I can
be one-hundred percent sure that my dreams will never come true. If I
think the same old thoughts and take the same old actions, I will
receive the same old results and remain trapped in my old way of
living. I have to think and act my new life into existence.
The Life Long Disoriented talk about how they would like to change, but
they never do anything about it. My life is different, because I do
something about it. I have a daily checklist on which I write every new
thought that I want to put into my mind and every new action that I want
to take. My checklist keeps me honest and guarantees that every day I
will focus on the new thoughts and actions that build the path to my
dreams. I don’t just talk about change. I make it happen by thinking
new thoughts and taking new actions.
The accomplishments of other people
strike me with a sense of awe, and it’s hard to see how I could achieve
the same thing. Their triumphs should pull me like a giant magnet up
the mountain of achievement. More often than not, the internal message
is just the opposite. I feel that there is something unique about
others that make it possible for them to reach their goals, but a survey
of my own inner resources fails to find a reason why I could do the
same. This flaw in my thinking diminishes my vision for what is
possible.
Achievers are not more talented or brilliant than those who don’t reach
their dreams. However, they do possess one quality that non-achievers
lack. They are endlessly persistent in pursuing their dreams.
Endless persistence separates the daydreamers from the doers. I am an
Unstoppable, Consistently Positive, Endlessly Persistent, Doer of
Dreams. I am willing to do whatever it takes to make them happen. No
matter how long it takes, or how many times I fail, I will make my
dreams come true.
Failure is never final unless I quit.
Failure isn’t a terminal event; it’s only a false step on the path to my
dreams. It may make me stumble, but it will not make me stop. Failure
is a test, and if I keep moving in the direction of my dreams, I pass
the test.
True failure happens when I believe that I can think the same old
thoughts, take the same old actions, and still get a new life. When I
fail, I must stop two things: I must stop what I am thinking and stop
what I am doing. If I continue to think the same old thoughts and take
the same old actions, failure will become a permanent part of my life.
I know how to fail intelligently. When I fail, I learn something from
it, and I don’t repeat my mistake. I maintain my purpose and
reformulate my plan taking into account what I have learned. Each
failure eliminates an unsuccessful strategy that could have prevented me
from reaching my dreams. As I walk on the path to my dreams, I carry a
backpack full of new thoughts and actions. Each time I fail, I pull a
new thought and new action out of my backpack. It doesn’t matter if I
fall down. As long as I get back up, think new thoughts, and take new
actions, I will reach my dreams.
Life happens one thought at a time,
either by default or by design.
The Life Long Disoriented live by default. Their life is a haphazard
collection of events. They have no plan or purpose, and any direction
they travel is fine. The random thoughts that accumulate in their mind
determines the outcome of their life.
I design my life and build my future thought by thought. Since every
destination starts as a thought, I focus my thoughts on where I want to
go. If there is any secret to building my future, it’s that I build it
one thought at a time.
Great lives are built on great thoughts that become the blueprint for
life. I make sure my thoughts are positive, empowering, resourceful,
and unlimited.
Life is what happens to you while you make other plans. The Life Long
Disoriented never make other plans, and so life just happens. Life
doesn’t just happen to me. I plan my work and work my plan. I build my
future thought by thought.
The Supreme Law of Change states that I
can change who I am by changing what I put into my mind.
What I put into my mind is important, because it changes who I am. What
other people put in is equally important, because it changes who I am as
well.
Negative thinkers are dangerous. When they put negative thoughts into
my mind, they push my inner voice in a negative direction and make me
into a negative person. Limited thinkers are equally dangerous. When
they put their limiting thoughts into my mind, I start to believe that
my dreams are impossible. I will not allow the Life Long Disoriented to
abuse me with their litany of negation and limitation. I will not allow
them to steal my dreams.
I use the Supreme Law of Change to make my life better. I spend my time
with positive people who put good things into my mind. I read positive
books and recite positive self-talk to push my inner voice in a positive
direction. I become a positive person by putting positive things into
my mind.
