SPREAD YOUR WINGS AND FLY
If I wait until everything is perfect, and I know exactly what I'm
doing, I will never live my dreams.
I can think of dozens of reasons why now isn't a good time to
spread my wings and fly.
I need more experience before I get started. I need to be
older and more mature before I launch out. I need to be
stronger to have the ability to endure and persevere. I need
to get permission from my parents, my boss, the government, and
God. I need to wait until tomorrow or next week when I am
better prepared. I need to wait until conditions are more
favorable before I spread my wings and fly.
All of those things may be true, but if I accept them as reality,
I may as well say good-bye to my dreams. They will not
happen.
But I'm not going to listen to the voice of limitation and fear.
I've already spread my wings, and I'm soaring on the updrafts of
God's love. I'm not waiting until I'm older; I've
given myself permission to live my dreams now, and I'll get the
experience I need along the way.
The Bible says, "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew
their strength; they shall mount up with
wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk
and shall not faint". That's my master plan. I will
soar on the updrafts of God's love, and go wherever it leads.
And when conditions are not favorable for soaring, I will run and
not be weary, I will walk and will not faint.
