THE HOMELESS
Homeless people are in good company because Jesus also didn't own
a home. Jesus said that foxes have holes, and birds have
nests, but He didn't have a place to lay his head.
Jesus wasn't complaining; He was simply stating the facts of his
life. He didn't need a house made of wood and bricks because
He was just passing through and was traveling light. The world and
everything in it was created by Him, and although He didn't have a
place to lay his head, the entire world was his home.
It's easy to look down on homeless people who fall through the
cracks in our society. These casualties of the American
Dream didn't make the cut, and they are now consigned to oblivion.
But keep a watchful eye when you walk among them, because if Jesus ever
returns to planet earth, that's where you'll find him, ministering
to those without homes.
